Stevie (@steviesol) knows whats up. Every now and then I get to work with a natural in front of the camera, and Stevie definitely knows how things work. It’s always great when a photoshoot is about working together to make something, and this came out so well.
Also we got to talk about the Bachelorette - so who doesn’t want a shoot like that.
Case Study - Photo to Vector
An exercise that explores vectorization processes, color scheme, and photo manipulation.
At my alma mater there was a flag of what the school used to be - a military hospital, and on it was this insignia. The flag, created in 1943, was old and simple and I could remember times where I’d walk by and appreciate its design. I appreciated it so much that I digitally recreated it, added my own flare to the design by way of colors and minimal lines, and displayed it at my premier gallery, which consisted of all my best work.
Okay - if you ever go to Red Hill Cafe up in New City, NY (Highly Recommend) get the Bacon Egg and Cheese on Brioche. It’s perfection - just like their coffee, ice cream, and basically anything else on the menu.
It was such a pleasure to work with them again and get some photos of their new menu items.
Honestly this show was spectacular. Valley (@thisisvalley) absolutely slayed. Opened for The Band Camino at Webster Hall in Manhattan, Valley took hold of the audience and gave them an awesome show. I’m sure they’ll be headlining a tour soon, and you definitely don’t want to miss out on that.
Lauren Turner (@lauren.turner5) was absolutely amazing to work with! At Washington Square Park we were able to create some great work. A minimal rustic vibe is hard to come by especially in the Big Apple, but with the help from some denim and a scarf I couldn’t be happier.
Évelyne (@tremblay_evelyne) had told me that this was her second photoshoot, ever, and I would never have guessed. She radiated confidence and had a instinct to where she needed to be. This was also my first foray into styling and she was such an amazing muse.
Karolina (@karolinawallace) was a perfect subject and such a beautiful person. She was so professional and knew exactly what we were trying to do with every shot and every scene. It was such a pleasure to work with her!
Sage (@sageeve) was such a great shoot. Her innate sense of style and awesome attitude during our time not only made the shots come out spectacularly but made the shoot so much fun to do.
Alyssa (@alyssahorch) was such a fantastic person to work with. Walking around Manhattan and blocking all the noise out for some great shots came second nature to her.
Ace (@aceismyrealname) and this shoot will always have a special place in my heart being my first test shoot in NYC I was so excited and she did marvelously. Shot at Bryant Park and the New York Public Library only a block or two away from Times Square, the photoshoot came along so well.
